The Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degree in Education Policies for Global Development (GLOBED) has received more than 1750 applications of students interested in joining the 10th Edition (2025/27) with scholarship. This is the highest number of applications ever received since the beginning of the programme in 2015. Due to the large number and the high quality of the candidatures, the selection process has been very difficult and competitive. The Selection Committee is composed of professors from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), the University of Glasgow (UoG), the University of Bremen (UB), and the University of Cyprus (UCY), who, after weeks of evaluation, have been able to elect twenty future GLOBED students.
Right now, the call for applications is still open for E10 self-funded students. For each application, the Selection Board will take into account the academic background, GPA, work and research experience, a motivation letter and an essay on a topic proposed by GLOBED. Candidatures will be accepted until May 9 at 11:59 pm (CET). Moreover, applicants on the waiting list and those not selected have the opportunity to be considered for the self-funding selection process.
The Erasmus Mundus programmes are international master’s degrees taught jointly by a group of at least three higher education institutions from different countries. Coordinated by the UAB, GLOBED started with its first edition in the 2015-2016 academic year. Now, it is the third time that the programme has been awarded an Erasmus Mundus grant of over 5.5 million euros in funding, which represents a major achievement for the European university offer in Education Policies and Sociology.
