How to apply?

Admissions to Erasmus+ J.M.D GLOBED are centrally administered by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Qualitative assessment of the candidates is performed jointly by the four consortium universities. Before applying, please check carefully the FAQ’s section to avoid any misunderstanding.

Applications for Edition VI (2021-2023) will be opened between 7 December 2020 and 15 February 2021 at 23:59 (CET).

  1. Create a UAB ID Number

    In case you already studied or applied to any study program at the UAB, you will already have a UAB ID Number. In case you don’t, please fill in the data asked at the following link.


  2. Application portal

    Select “Erasmus Mundus Master in Education Policies for Global Development (GLOBED)” in the Application Portal. The program will only be available on the site when the application period has started. There is no fee for applying.


  3. Details

    Fill in your personal and academic details in the relevant sections.

  4. Scan documents

    Scan the necessary personal and academic documents and attach them to your application, in PDF format.

    – The documents should be attached in pdf format (4 MB maximum).

    – Upload a copy of your Bachelor’s degree diploma and transcript of records (not the one of your Master’s degree, in case you hold one). You don’t have to legalise them for the selection process.

    – For the Motivation Letter, please follow the same format requirements than for the Essay.

    – For students asking for an English Language proficiency waiver or for students who still cannot submit their English Certificate, please use this document.


    – Check the list of countries where English is one of several official languages.


    – For Erasmus+ Scholarship applicants: please use this sample for the declaration/s to be submitted.


  5. Download admission

    Download a document confirming your application for admission has been made. You will be not receiving an email of confirmation.

Appeal instructions for applicants who have not been selected

If you wish to challenge the Board of Selection’ decision, you can appeal from March 26 to April 2 2021, bringing new elements to your application. The Appeal Form can be downloaded from the following link: Appeal Form. This must be sent to the Consortium at the following address: Any appeal will be considered with particular attention.

By April 9, the GLOBED Selection Board Committee will launch the final list of accepted students and will inform all candidates who issued an appeal letter.

Candidates of the self-funding selection process can use the same form and procedure from the moment they receive a communication from the Board.
