Juan Angel Barajas

From Mexico

Juan Angel Barajas carried out a Bachelor in Socio-Territorial Studies at the Metropolitan Autonomous University. He is an enthusiast of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and their use in the fields of social and environmental sciences. He has collaborated with governments, universities and IOs across Latin America and the world as Humanitarian Open Street Map Team and Open Government Partnership, promoting open access geospatial technologies. In academia, he has addressed issues such as gentrification, spatial inequality, labor poverty, environmental governance and social-ecological resilience. Likewise, he has been involved in environmental activism in different forests and ecosystems in Mexico. Currently, he is very interested in Care and support systems, climate change and its effects in the field of education.
