From Bangladesh

Md Masum Billah carried out a Bachelor in Education at the University of Dhaka. He is a development practitioner and education specialist with a strong background in advancing equitable and inclusive education in humanitarian and low-resource settings. With over eight years of experience across UN agencies, international NGOs, and government collaborations, he has led impactful programmes focused on refugee education, school feeding, and policy reform—most notably in response to the Rohingya refugee crisis in Bangladesh. His work bridges research and practice, centring on improving access, learning outcomes, and systemic equity through evidence-informed strategies and multi-stakeholder engagement. Masum is intellectually driven by a deep commitment to social justice, youth empowerment, and the transformative power of education in fragile and transitional contexts.
